Artful Birthday Parties at the Museum

Birthday Parties at Newport Art Museum

My Birthday at the Museum

Celebrate your child's birthday at Newport Art Museum with arts and crafts activities led by a Coleman Center Faculty member.

You bring refreshments and utensils, we provide the fun!

Parties are held on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00AM – 1:00PM or  1:00PM – 3:00PM.

Party Themes

Magical Kingdom
Children will fashion royal capes, fancy crowns, and glittery magical wands.
Magical Fairies
Children will create fairies’ wings, beautiful tiaras, and magic wands. Boys will make masks and transform themselves into frog princes.
Space Rockets
Children will construct a table top space rocket. Their imagination will be the fuel to make them soar into space.
Treasure Boxes
Children will decoupage boxes with chosen decorative pictures and exotic embellishments. Each child will enjoy making a special piece of jewelry or a secret treasure to hide inside the box.
Sculpt Like A Master
Dinosaurs, horses, dragons or any animal you can imagine.  Wire form provided; use modeling clay that can be colored and will air dry to take home the same day. Or create a clay plate or animal and using under glaze that will be fired in the kiln, to be picked up during the week.

Choose Your Own
Choose an art medium that you would like to explore and our Instructor will create a costume party for you.  Paper maché (animal masks), printmaking, sculpting using recyclables, puppets and so much more.

The cost of a party for up to 10 children and 2 adults is a flat fee of $140, with a $14 dollar cost per additional child, up to 15 children. Parties are no longer than two hours, allowing 1 to 1 ½ hours for the art activity.
