As the first large-scale exhibition of contemporary art from the Museum’s permanent collection, “Be of Love” showcases a range of works by international, national, and regional artists, some of which have never been exhibited before at the Museum. Featured artists include: Roy Lichtenstein, Corita Kent, Sol LeWitt, Dale Chihuly, Bob Dilworth, Jesse Burke, and many others. Taking its title from both a print by Corita Kent in the Museum’s collection, and the famous e.e. cummings’ poem, “Be of Love” illustrates the integrated nature of the visual arts and takes an interdisciplinary approach to the collection.
