The Newport Art Museum is a unique location for your photography session, whether it be the whole wedding party or an intimate photo shoot for two. The Griswold House, in addition to featuring a rotating collection of Rhode Island artwork, was built by Richard Morris Hunt during the 1860’s and is architecturally beautiful inside and out.
- Access to the Griswold House, Museum Galleries and Museum Grounds
- Exclusive access to the Museum after 4:00 pm
- Pre-visit to the Museum by the client and/or photographer to get a feel for the space during regular museum hours (10 am – 4 pm Tuesday – Saturday, 12 – 4 pm Sunday)
The Newport Art Museum offers a variety of locations for a memorable and unique photography session for the entire Wedding Party. Able to accommodate up to 30 guests, the Griswold House’s Grand Staircase is a popular spot with many vantage points, as well as two period rooms located on the first floor. Our additional galleries with changing artwork can be utilized for more ‘contemporary’ shots, and our grounds with historic trees are a romantic setting during the blooming season.

With historic and contemporary gallery spaces, in addition to our grounds, the Newport Art Museum’s collection and historic rooms can act as an one-of-a-kind, uniquely Newport setting for your photography session.
$80/hour for 2 adults & 2 children & photographer(s)
$8/hour for each additional child
$18/hour for each additional adult
Branding/Product Photography Shoot
The Newport Art Museum is able to accommodate and assist with a variety of professional and branding photography shoot sessions in our historic rooms, contemporary galleries, Grand Staircase and our grounds. Please contact the Director of Rental Events for more information.
