Your Support Makes a Difference

Thank you for supporting the Newport Art Museum. Your generosity supports and grows the Newport Art Museum’s collection, arts education, exhibitions, community programs, and historic preservation. Our exhibitions, scholarly publications, arts education, community outreach and historic preservation are made possible through your generosity. Your tax-deductible donation is an investment in our vibrant community.

We would not be able to accomplish all we do at the Museum without your help!

We hope you will visit soon and witness firsthand the exceptional programming your gift helps make possible, including Art After Dark and our September exhibitions, be of love and other stories: Contemporary Highlights from the Permanent Collection and Pictures & Windows: The Paintings of Christopher W. Benson from 1975-2017.

Make Charitable Giving Contributions Directly from Your IRA to Support the Museum

Individuals over the age of 70½ can make charitable gifts directly from Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA) and avoid the taxes on withdrawals.

The change under the Qualified Charitable Distribution provision of the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes Act of 2015 makes it easier for those over 70½ to plan their giving over the course of a year and to avoid paying taxes on required distributions from IRAs.

If you qualify for this plan, we hope you will keep the Newport Art Museum in mind as you plan your charitable distributions this year.

Please consult your financial advisor for rules and further information on this giving opportunity.

Matching Gifts

Many companies offer matching-gift programs for charitable donations made by their employees, which could double or triple your contribution to the Newport Art Museum this year. For more information, please contact your employer's human resources department.
