Find Your Rhythm and Make Some Noise!
Back by popular demand, Miss Katie Fairhead will lead you on an exploration of rhythmic sounds and patterns through music and movement! Take a trek through the galleries on a Guided close looking tour and hunt for patterns. What would a low drum beat look like if you could see it? What about the whooshing of the wind? Using a variety of materials, make your own instrument, while learning the fundamentals of percussive sounds and beats. Can you make a sound you "saw" in one of the artworks in the gallery? Take your special instrument home and keep the music going!
The Second Saturday program begins at 10:30 am, and is free with paid Museum admission.
