The Newport Art Museum welcomes groups of all ages.  Our expert staff and trained Gallery Guides are dedicated to providing you and your group with a meaningful educational experience.  We offer gallery talks on a variety of topics, including Highlights from the Permanent Collection, Women of the Newport Art Association, the Architecture of the Griswold House, and the Changing Exhibits.  Check our exhibitions page for current exhibitions you may enjoy.  Be sure to leave time to revisit the galleries and the Elizabeth Conklin Museum Shop.

Guided tours last approximately 45-60 minutes (includes check-in, orientation, and tour.)  Reservations are required at least three weeks in advance.

Self-Guided Visits

Groups of ten or more visitors may elect to explore the Museum on their own.  Reservations are required at least tow weeks in advance in order to receive discounted group admission rate.

Campus Accessibility

The Newport Art Museum's three-building campus includes the John N. A. Griswold House, the Cushing Memorial Gallery and the Gilbert S. Kahn Building, which houses our art school, the Coleman Center for Creative Studies. All three buildings are accessible to visitors using wheelchairs, walking aids, children's strollers or service animals. Our south parking lot off Downing Street provides easy access to all Museum buildings and grounds. Ramps on the south side of the Griswold House and the north side of the Cushing Gallery are accessible via the south lot, and provide access to the Griswold Houses' automatic doors.
