During the spring season many students choose to learn a particular paint medium, so in the future they may fulfill their dream of painting outdoors “plein air.” Our art instructors are professionals who share their knowledge and expertise with you. For certified public school teachers any of our classes can be used for Rhode Island professional development credits. We cover a broad range of interests, including art history, ceramics, digital photography, drawing, jewelry, mosaics, painting and printmaking.

For children, during the spring vacation we offer an art camp, daily workshops and youth photography programs. We have classes meeting once weekly for children as young as age three. Children learn how to mold clay, mix colors, collage and print original designs. “Tweens” and teens can select from a variety of classes including ceramics, drawing, darkroom and digital photography, painting, sculpture. Lastly, this publication includes our popular weekly summer programs at our Newport, Tiverton and Little Compton sites.
