2012 Newport Annual Members' Juried Exhibition - WINNERS
To celebrate the diverse creative talents of its member artists during its centennial year, the Newport Art Museum accepted all entries to the exhibition this year and invited three independent jurors to select separate lists of award-winners, to be announced on a rolling schedule throughout the run of the exhibition. From a field of 328 submissions by New England artists, Judith Tannenbaum, the Richard Brown Baker Curator of Contemporary Art at the Museum of Art Rhode Island School of Design, George Slade, former Program Manager and Curator of the Photographic Resource Center at Boston University, as well as longtime Artistic Director of the Minnesota Center of Photography, and Nancy Stula, Ph.D., Director and Curator, Lyman Allyn Art Museum, New London Connecticut, have each selected a set of winners. The "Newport Annual" is generously supported by Edward and Wendy Harvey.
