CALL FOR ENTRIES

Juror: Jessica Hagen

The Griffon Shop will sell original art on paper and small original ceramic works created by members of the Newport Art Museum. Accepted pieces will be exhibited during the winter months of 2010. Artists may submit up to six pieces with the juror selecting from among these works. For works on paper, no piece may exceed 20” by 20” in outside dimension. For ceramic art, no piece may exceed 16” in any direction. There will be a 50% commission. Artists are encouraged to keep prices below $350.

All works on paper must be matted, backed and either shrink wrapped or sealed in mylar. A typed description indicating the artist, title, medium, size, year and price must be affixed to the back of the print inside the protective mylar. Submit original art only including limited edition fine art prints such as woodcuts, linocuts, etchings, mezzotints, aquatints, numbered photographs and paintings on paper. No giclees, photocopies, commercial lithographs or other reproductions will be accepted. All submissions must be boxed, or neatly bundled together in a sturdy bag. Attach completed registration form to the bundle.

For ceramic work, all pieces must be boxed securely wrapped in bubble-wrap or tissue paper with the completed registration form attached to each box.

Delivery Dates: Friday, January 8 from 10-4; Sunday, January 10 from 12-4 and Tuesday, January 12 from 10-4.

Notification: Accepted artists will be notified on Thursday, January 14th.  All non-selected art must be picked up Friday, January 15 from 10-4 or Sunday, January 17th from 12-4.
